Portsmouth, England - May 2015
The final scenes in Second Summer of War take place in Portsmouth, England, as do the opening scenes in my as yet untitled Book #3.
My husband, Randy, and I stayed at The George (circa 1791), the oldest surviving inn/tavern in the town, and spent our time touring the ancient decks of the Mary Rose which sank in The Solent in 1545, Portsmouth Point (the area in which Emily lodges at the fictitious Brigantine Inn), and the Portsmouth Cathedral (formerly the Parish Church of St. Thomas of Canterbury).
